About this component

This is a 5V version of a popular all-sky dome heater. Dissipating the same 2.8W but can now be powered from a Raspberry PI or USB interface directly, with the highest posable current draw being 570mA

Featuring our highly advanced Spiral Entropy Accelerators™ that provide additional exposed metal surface area, facilitating rapid heat death of the universe. The PCB is single sided to promote the dissipation of heat in an upward direction, instead of down in to the camera housing where it is unwanted.

Like the Voyager Golden Record our PCB copper pads have fine coating of pure gold, thus ensuring excellent corrosion resistance, and that extra WOW factor 😲

The main molecular excitors used are the YAGEO RC0603FR-7W470RL ±1%, Moisture Resistant Think Film resistors. They are being operated at <30% of their rated capacity, you will enjoy many decades of dew free viewing.

Comes in the standard form factor ID 52 mm / OD 72 mm. Cables are not included, you will need to deploy your own soldering skills.
